Ana Šostar is a Croatian pianist based in Budapest. Key moments in her career include performances at the Palace of Arts in Budapest, the 29th Memorial of Dora Pejačević in Našice, and the Night of Music project with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. She also played Sergei Lyapunov’s First Piano Concerto at an international festival in Kostroma, Russia.

She began her music education at the Kontesa Dora Elementary Music School in Našice, where she played piano and tamburitza. In high school, she focused on piano and studied cello and composition, winning first prize for her work in the “Europe in School” competition under the mentorship of composer Davor Bobić.

Ana graduated from the Academy of Music in Zagreb in 2022 and studied with Professor Filip Fak. She developed an interest in working with singers and learned from Dunja Vejzović and others. She collaborated with various singers, including Croatian mezzo-soprano Emilia Rukavina. Ana later attended the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest as an Erasmus+ scholar and continued as a full-time student.

Ana has performed in countries like Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Russia, and Italy. She has played in venues such as the Croatian National Theatre and the Liszt Academy. To improve her skills, she has taken masterclasses with several prominent teachers and studied at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Berlin. Ana has performed at international festivals like “Music on the Stone” and “Hugo Staehle.”
